The artwork is on the wallApril 29th, 2012 by Gerben van Erkelens
On one of the first sunny days this year our project group had an appointment with the client. When I got there I received some gifts from a friend, Maarten Kleyne. I didn’t immediately know what it was exactly. It turned out it we’re two prints of his artwork I really liked, Cocaina Infection and Pseudo Silk Kimono.
Cool! It was exactly the sort of art I wanted on the wall. Unfortunately one of them didn’t quite fit into the room’s atmosphere. Therefore I asked for another one, the Odds. This turned out to be a great choice and today we finally managed to put them on the wall.
I’m really pleased by the results. Mainly because it’s the kind of art I really like. It’s modern, original and tells a story. Also it’s the kind of artwork that I can’t create. Of course I’ve my own skills, but this is something that doesn’t come with my skill set. it’s simply amazing when looking at it. Incredible detailed and somehow emotional. I really like it! Now only the pseudo silk kimono needs a good place.
