The creation of my first software GUI
Yes your reading it right. I’m busy designing and framing a version of our new software )can’t say a lot about specific things though). It’s going to run on our core product, an on-board computer for cabs. This on-board terminal is build up from the ground by Quipment. It’s one of the most advanced solution available worldwide (yes really!). In my opinion it’s an epic all-in-one solution.
Of course we’re hiring people to get the wire frames done…well actually the whole functional aspect of it. But there’s also the need to mock-up some screens in Photoshop. That’s where I come in. I’m currently tasked converting wire frames to an actually design. That means I’ve to think about colour usage, our own corporate identity and an intuitive approach.
That’s pretty challenging, specifically when looking at the amount of available space. It’s a 800 x 480px resolution and there’s information that could go on a Full HD resolution . That takes a lot of thinking and trying which uses a large amount of time. But it’s fun and new and like I said, really challenging!
Hopefully things will work out like I hope. It would be great if this makes it eventually to our live product. Only then I can add this to my portfolio .
