Photoshop on a tablet

February 9th, 2013 by Gerben van Erkelens

Just wanted to see what the free Photoshop app could do with a photo I quickly made from a canvas print.

I’ve to say it works pretty simple and nice for some small editing. Basically you can add some small effects and borders in this app. It also gives you some handy cropping abilities and some colour filters.

Of course it’s nothing near the desktop version yet, but I’m pleased to see this already. It’s only a matter of time before a real desktop similar version is available for tablets.

Next up: trying Photoshop Touch @ work.

  1. Lovely!

  2. Already found one issue with it. On tablet it looks pretty nice, on a phone too… But opening the photo on desktop looks bad. For to yellow. And my screen is calibrated properly. Which raises the qursrion: are there any calibration apps for tablets and so?

  3. I figured you were going for the yellow look.. it looks yellow on all of my devices :)

  4. Yup, yellow was intended but on desktop it's way out of what I wanted :-)

  5. On my tablet it's too yellow; on my desktop it's fine (more sepia than yellow).

  6. Lol +Mirjam van Dijk seems that I need to recalibrate my desktop then :-P
