As a designer, especially an independent one, you’ll be advising your clients a lot. It comes with the turf. I’m a designer myself in charge of all designs that need to be created within my company.

During the process it’s up to the designer to give the best advice possible when it comes to design terms. For example a website layout or text placement in a brochure, it’s the designers job to figure out the best possible way to do it. Sometimes you’ll need to convince your superiors and / or clients.

Tell them what YOU think would be best

When you need to give some advice for a choice in navigation, for example, it’s wise to discuss what’s best for the project. It’s kind of logical but people are forgetting this part. Making choices happens ad-hock a lot. (more…)

1. Enchanting black web design layouts

People don’t read that much any more. They ask on Social Media or search on Google. There’s nothing wrong with that of course, but I’m experiencing a lot of laziness lately on every media I participate in. As a designer I want to motivate people to take action, so I’ll try everything to get their attention. If that means I need to make some cuts in my texts, so be it. (more…)
