New Photo’s added to RGB Stock and Picasa

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010

Today I shot around 100 photo’s in a nearby nature reserve. I used my newly bought Olympus E500 SLR camera. Normally I use a 400D when it’s available from work. I still wanted to have one myself though and this week I found a bargain of the old Olympus SLR line. It works wonderful! I added the nicest photo’s to RGBStock and Picasa. Take a look and tell me if you like them!

Q4YOU! Photo folder design

Wednesday, June 16th, 2010

On the 8th of June this year, we organized a kart event for all our customers. They had to race for 100 rounds, including switching between riders and of course getting some fuel in time. Afterwards there was a BBQ which closed the event.

The whole marketing around the Q4YOU! event was made by myself as you may have seen in my earlier post about the invitation. Today we finished the photo folders. We sent these afterwards every time we have a Q4YOU!. It features a DVD with all pictures from the event and some printed photo’s which are personalized for every client. Below you can find the end result. Let me know what you think of it.

Immersive Space in Flash – Grave Bridge

Thursday, June 10th, 2010

Today I presented my Immersive space to my fellow students and teachers. The presentation went very well and the reactions were positive. Let’s just hope it get’s me through the entire course! Anyway, the space has some bugs in it, sound bugs mostly. Due to incompetence and lack of time I didn’t get the time to fix those. I’m still happy with the end result and it displays my current technical knowledge about Actionscript 3 I worked with for the first time! It was difficult and time consuming, but got the job done in the end.

The space storyline is about Grave Bridge. WW2 is the setting and style. All information is in dutch, so I’ll explain it in short. First you have to collect eight or more mines / grenades. You also have to find the two pieces of information (documents) you have to find in the different scenes. When you’ve accomplished that you can exit by clicking under the bridge. Let me know what you think about it!

Note: It seems the online version doesn’t play out the outro when exiting the space. The projector file does however!

Portfolio: Announcement & Invitation for a company client day

Friday, May 14th, 2010

Every year the company I work for, Quipment, organizes a customer /client day which we call Q4YOU!. On these Q4YOU!’s we give our customers a Sneak Preview of our new products and talk about recent developments in our branch. Sometimes though that day isn’t about work at all and it’s just the goal to have fun with fellow taxi entrepreneurs. Our next Q4YOU! is one of the last kind. We’re going to have a Kart Challenge that day, a 100 lap race.

For this event I had to design an announcement which customers got a week before the invitation would be sent. It had to be a reminder for clients to already keep that day in mind. Below you’ll find the announcement.

Vooraankondiging Q4YOU!

Like I said, the invitation was sent a week after the announcement was sent. This invitation has a similar design compared to the announcement.

FLStudio Music, Designing in a different way

Monday, April 19th, 2010

This used to be a static blog page. I don’t think it adds any extra to this blog, therefor I’m converting this to a post.

Most people that know me as a person also know that I like to play around with music a lot! I’m really positive towards almost any electronic music. However a good soundtrack will catch my interest also.

In my spare time I’m busy to put my own music and sounds idea’s in a good sounding track. Unfortunately I don’t have the right hardware to master the tracks. So I really don’t know how the tracks sound outside of the places I tested it with (Car, Computer, Surround set, Phone etc.). When creating music it’s a bit like designing something. You try a million things before you like it and even then it sometimes not what you thought it would be.

I want to provide a way for people to check once in a while what I have been making. Therefor you’ll find my current made tracks/noise/sounds (just how you want to put it) below. Keep in mind it’s all a housy / trance kind off stuff, so when you don’t like that, just don’t listen them :-) .

First track I made. In my opinion it’s ready. I don’t want to add more things to it. Would be nice to be able to tweak it in a right way.

The second track I made. Not really ready at the moment, but an impression.

Also a  project that’s still in progress.

The latest addition! It’s again a work in progress, just a quick preview.
