Tutorial: How to design for television

Monday, November 10th, 2008

This is one of the latest problems I came across. I needed to design a DVD menu for a promotional / introduction movie of a product. The only minor setback was I never designed for TV purposes in my whole life.

When searching on google I saw it was hard to find a good tutorial on how to make a DVD menu including guidelines for text etcetera.

Finally I came across this one. It provides an easy explanation on using text and color. It also provides a few handy links which go even further on the topic.

I advise every designer to bookmark this one, because it will come in handy sometime.
